Vehicles approximately over 25 years of age can be be called classic cars. This genre can include collectable, roadworthy and being restored or recommissioned.  These cars usually have historical interest and have avoided from being scrapped even if near their end of life. Vehicles between 15 and 25 years of age are generally known as modern classics – these vehicles are becoming collectable and will progress into being classic cars in time.

Sports cars are usually designed by motor manufacturers with the design being an emphasis on performance, speed and enhanced handling for the road or track. These cars conjure up excitement for the driver and are not necessarily practical transportation. Many sports cars are only two seaters with sleeker styling than mainstream models.
