Great Houghton

Great Houghton is a village located in the county of Northamptonshire, south of the Northampton town centre and nearby to the villages of Little Houghton and Preston Deanery. Accessible from the Bedford Road (A428) and Newport Pagnell road (B526). Its local motorway access is via junction 15 of the M1. It has two active public houses and historic grade listed properties and trees. The village is mentioned in the Domesday Book.  An active village hall overlooking playing fields and  a children’s playground area.  Population is approximately 700. Apart from the public houses, local amenities exist in the neighbouring village Little Houghton.
