Northampton

Northampton is classed as a large market town in the county of Northamptonshire, East Midlands which is centrally located in England. Famous for its historical shoe industry (from the 19th century), it has good links north, east, south and west to other parts of the country via the M1, A43, A45 and A14. The River Nene and Grand Union Canal flow nearby.  Some modernisation has taken place in recent years with a replacement railway station, demolishment of the Greyfriars bus station and fish market.
