Mercedes-Benz was established in 1926 in Stuttgart, Germany. A manufacturer of luxury cars and commercial vehicles. The company’s roots go back to Carl Benz’s engine powered automobile in 1886 and a stagecoach designed with an engine by Wilhelm Maybach. The first Mercedes vehicle was marketed in 1901 named after the daughter of Emil Jellinek, a european automobile entrepreneur who worked for Daimler Motoren Gelleschaft (DMG). In 1926, DMG and Karl Benz’s company merged into the Daimler-Benz company.
