The Ford Motor Company was found by Henry Ford in 1903. Headquarters are based in Michigan, U.S. The assembly line was introduced in 1914. The Model T introduced in 1908 sold millions over a 20 year period. This was superseded by the Model A. This was the first model with safety glass in the windscreen. Ford has sold vehicles under various brands such as Mercury and Lincoln. Over the years Ford has either owned or had a stake in companies such as Jaguar and Land Rover. Ford is the second largest american vehicle manufacturer to Genera Motors.
