Little Houghton is a village located in the county of Northamptonshire, south of the Northampton town centre and nearby to the villages of Great Houghton and Brafield-on-the-Green. Accessible from the Bedford Road (A428). Its local motorway access is via junction 15 of the M1. It has an active public house – “The Four Pears“, post office and some local businesses. An active village hall located on the High Street next to the Post Office. The village overlooks reservoirs and a canal. A short distance away is the Billing Aquadrome. Population is approximately 400. It is home to a set of stocks with iron clamps situated next to the post office that were used for flogging persons that had committed crimes.
